08.23.10 | McAdams invited to make debut with Julian Rachlin, Mischa Maisky, and the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields
McAdams has been invited to make his debut with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields in Dubrovnik, Croatia on September 12th as part of the Julian Rachlin and Friends Festival. The program includes Tchaikovsky's "Rococo Variations" with Mischa Maisky as cello soloist, the World Premiere of Giya Kancheli's "Chiaroscuro" with Julian Rachlin as violin and viola soloist, and Beethoven's Symphony no. 3, the "Eroica." 06.03.10 | McAdams Announced As First-Ever Recipient of $10,000 Sir Georg Solti Emerging Conductor Award
Ryan McAdams has been named the first-ever recipient of a major new grant for young American conductors given by the Sir Georg Solti Foundation in Chicago, Illinois. The Foundation, established in 2000 by Lady Valerie Solti, widow of the late legendary conductor Sir Georg Solti, and their two daughters, honors the memory of the internationally celebrated conductor and his dedication to helping young artists. The $10,000 one-year grant will be used for career training and activities that will further develop and enhance his talent and experience in the conducting arena.

In 2004, the Foundation concentrated the focus of its award program to exclusively assist talented young American conductors early in their professional careers. Winners have been awarded substantial grants and have received door-opening introductions to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Lyric Opera of Chicago and Chicago Opera Theater. The Solti Foundation U.S. is the foremost organization in the United States dedicated exclusively to helping young conductors.

06.01.10 | McAdams joins NYCO as Associate Conductor
After his successful debut with the New York City Opera last season, Ryan has been accepted a post for next season. His roles as Associate Conductor for the coming season will include conducting NYCO's Spring Gala with Kristen Chenowith, Raul Esparza and the NYCO Orchestra, the 2011 VOX Festival, the Opera Is Instrumental program, and serving as Associate to George Manahan on NYCO's mainstage productions of Strauss' "Intermezzo" and the series of three monodramams in the spring: Schoenberg's "Erwartung," John Zorn's "La Machine de l'etre," and Morton Feldman's "Neither."

A glowing review of McAdams' performance of "Ein Heldenleben," the Overture to "La Forza del Destino," and "Shalom" with the New York Youth Symphony at Carnegie Hall has been added to "Press."

04.14.10 | Reinvitations for Maggio Musicale and New York City Opera
Mr. McAdams' performances with the Maggio Musicale in Florence and the New York City Opera have led to immediate re-engagements. He will return to the NYCO in 2011 and 2012, and to Florence for subscription concerts in October, 2012.

Mr. McAdams' upcoming concert with Florence's Maggio Musicale Orchestra on Feb. 5th will be recorded for a future broadcast on Italy's RAI Radio 3. The date of the broadcast has yet to be determined.

08.29.09 | Dates for New York City Opera and Princeton Symphony Re-engagment Added!
Ryan has been re-engaged by the Princeton Symphony for an upcoming performance, and will serve as Assistant Conductor for New York City Opera's 2010 production of Chabrier's "L'Etoile."
